Toronto City Essentials – 5 Days Toronto, sometimes considered the New York City of the North, has so much to offer with its world-class art museums, vibrant neighborhoods, gourmet restaurants, and a choice selection of entertainment – you may never want to go home!   Day 1: Travel To Toronto Make your way to Toronto in Ontario, Canada. Meet your group and Prométour Tour Director. With your Prométour Tour Director, discover Old Toronto’s Distillery District, it is widely regarded as Canada’s premier arts, culture and entertainment destination. Dinner in a local restaurant with your group. Overnight accommodation in Toronto. Day 2: Toronto Breakfast at the hotel. Go to the Museum of Contemporary Art (MoCa), located in the heritage landmark Tower Automotive Building; have a brief guided tour of one of the exhibits then participate in a hands-on activity based on that theme (exhibit to be determined). Have lunch on your own. With your Tour Director, discover Toronto’s famous Graffiti Alley; covering three city blocks of Toronto’s Fashion District, it displays some of the best examples of Toronto’s vibrant street art and mural culture. Have a guided visit of the Art Gallery of Ontario’s (AGO) vast collection of the Canadian Group of 7, and of established and emerging First Nations, Inuit and Metis artists. Have dinner on your own. Overnight accommodation in Toronto. Day 3: Toronto Breakfast at the hotel. Have a guided visit of Casa Loma; travels to Europe by financier Sir Henry Pellatt developed his love for fine art and architecture which spurred his vision for his own personal Edwardian castle overlooking Toronto. Have lunch on your own. Enjoy a guided visit of the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM); encounter the powerful queens and fatal beauties whose fascinating stories of ambition and influence are preserved at the Museum! After the tour you’ll have time to explore Canada’s largest museum at your own pace. Have dinner on your own. Overnight accommodation in Toronto. Day 4: Toronto Breakfast at the hotel. At the Aga Khan Museum, North America’s first museum dedicated exclusively to Islamic arts, explore the many shades of the colour blue and its literary symbol in a Curator-led tour of paintings, ceramics, and glass; the museum’s Permanent Collection was assembled by Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan and is now supported by His Highness the Aga Khan. Have lunch on your own. Explore The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery; located on the Harbour Front of Toronto in the shell of what used to be an electricity plant, it offers a variety of temporary exhibits mainly focusing on contemporary.
