Investigate the UNESCO World Heritage Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela as the ultimate destination of the Camino pilgrimage – examining its Romanesque architecture, its role as a major medieval pilgrimage site, and its enduring spiritual significance.

Evaluate the Mudejar architectural heritage of Zaragoza through the Aljaferia Palace and La Seo Cathedral – both UNESCO World Heritage Sites – examining how Islamic and Christian architectural traditions merged in medieval Aragon.

Compare the distinct Romanesque churches of northern Spain – Burgos Cathedral, Oviedo Cathedral of San Salvador, Leon Basilica of San Isidoro, and the Basilica de Pilar in Zaragoza – examining how medieval religious architecture expressed faith and civic identity.
