DAY 3: ATHENS - KALAMBAKA

  • Kalambaka: Board your bus and travel to Kalambaka, the gateway to Meteora. The town is almost entirely modern, having been burned to the ground during WWII.
  • Lunch: On your own.
  • Meteora: Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Meteora - be amazed at those monasteries built on natural sandstone rock pillars! The name Meteora means "Suspended in the air."

DAY 4: KALAMBAKA - DELPHI

  • Delphi: Board your bus and travel to Delphi, once considered to be the center of the world.

  • Ancient Ruins: Discover the Ancient Ruins of Delphi with a local guide. Visit the Temple of Apollo, erected on the remains of an earlier temple dating from the 6th century BC.
