  • Welcome: Board your flight from home and begin the journey to Puerto Rico. Bienvenidos a Puerto Rico! Meet your Puerto Rican Prometour Tour Director at the arrivals section of SJU airport. He or she will guide your activities and remain with your group for the duration of your time in Puerto Rico, including at the hotel.
  • Tour Manager: You will also meet your Tour Manager, who assists your Tour Director by handling the behind-the-scenes tasks that help assure your trip runs smoothly.
  • Old San Juan: Board your motor coach and head to Old San Juan. One of the oldest cities in the New World, it is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Lunch: On your own.
  • Discovery Walk: Stroll through the narrow cobblestone streets with your Tour Director, taking in the colonial architecture and colourful historic quarters. Hear local legends, learn about island traditions, and explore the city from an insider's perspective.
  • Transfer: End the day in the area of Ponce, the Pearl of the South and Puerto Rico's second largest city.

Vega Baja Caves and CanyonsDay 2

DAY 2: PONCE - VEGA BAJA - PONCE

  • Breakfast: Buffet breakfast at the hotel with your group.
  • Transfer: Board your motor coach and head to Vega Baja, in the Porta Atlantico region on Puerto Rico's north coast.
  • Field Science: Led by certified biologists and local guides, receive an introduction to the region's geology and ecosystems (guided).
  • Caves and Canyons: Go spelunking and float through underground caves, then swim in hidden limestone canyons.
  • Forest and River: Take forest hikes and river treks to waterfall viewpoints, spotting wildlife and tropical flora along the way.

DAY 3: PONCE - FAJARDO - LA PARGUERA

  • Transfer: Head out for a day of discovery in Fajardo, in the Porta Antillas region on Puerto Rico's east coast.
  • Catamaran: Board a sustainably operated, locally owned catamaran for an educational excursion through the Northeast Nature Reserve and its surrounding uninhabited cays (guided).
  • Marine Science: Your local guide shares insights into the region's marine ecosystems, coral reef conservation initiatives, and the role seagrass beds and mangrove forests play in protecting coastal habitats.
  • Snorkelling: Make snorkelling stops to observe marine life in its natural habitat, including tropical fish, living coral reefs, and, with a bit of luck, sea turtles. All snorkelling equipment is provided.
