Fly to Puerto RicoDay 1

DAY 1: HOME - SAN JUAN

  • Welcome: Board your flight from home and arrive in Puerto Rico. Meet your Puerto Rican Prometour Tour Director at the SJU arrivals area. Your Tour Director guides your activities and stays with the group for the duration of your time in Puerto Rico, including at the hotel.
  • Tour Manager: You will also meet your Tour Manager, who assists your Tour Director by handling the behind-the-scenes tasks that keep your trip running smoothly.
  • Old San Juan: Board your motor coach and head to Old San Juan for a stroll with your Tour Director through the narrow cobblestone streets, with their colonial architecture and colourful, history-rich quarters. Hear local legends and traditions and explore the city from an insider's perspective.
  • Lunch: On your own. Time and location to be determined by your Tour Director and Group Leader.
  • La Parguera: End the day in Lajas and La Parguera, a small fishing village home to nature reserves, pristine cays, and one of Puerto Rico's three bioluminescent bays.
  • Welcome Dinner: Enjoy a welcome dinner with your group at a local restaurant.
  • Overnight: La Parguera. Example: Villa Parguera or similar.

Cabo Rojo & Bioluminescent BayDay 2

DAY 2: LA PARGUERA - CABO ROJO

  • Breakfast: Buffet breakfast at the hotel with your group, then board your motor coach for a day of discovery.
  • Cabo Rojo Salt Flats: Discover the Cabo Rojo Salt Flats at the Centro Interpretativo de las Salinas, learning about the historical and ecological significance of this unique landscape on a short, easy hike (guided).
  • Playa Boqueron: Enjoy fun-in-the-sun time at iconic Playa Boqueron, renowned for its soft sands and crystal-clear waters.
  • Lunch: Lunch with your group at a local restaurant.
  • Mangrove Boat Tour: From La Parguera, take a boat tour of the stunning mangrove cays, navigating the waterways to learn about the importance of these ecosystems and the local fishing culture (guided).
  • Bioluminescent Bay: As the sun sets, witness the enchanting waters of the Bioluminescent Bay, where dinoflagellates illuminate the darkness in an extraordinary natural phenomenon. Optional: take a short swim in the bay.
  • Dinner: Dinner with your group at a local restaurant.
  • Overnight: La Parguera.

El Yunque Rainforest & Luquillo BeachDay 3

DAY 3: LA PARGUERA - SAN JUAN

  • Breakfast: Buffet breakfast at the hotel with your group, then board your motor coach for a new day of discovery.
  • El Yunque: Visit El Yunque, the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System. Take a gentle hike through its lush biodiversity of towering trees, vibrant flora, and diverse wildlife along hidden trails that lead to stunning viewpoints and waterfalls (guided). Optional: swim in one of the pristine natural pools.
  • Rainforest Lunch: Enjoy a rainforest lunch of Puerto Rican dishes made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients in a vibrant setting.
  • Luquillo Beach: Spend the afternoon at Luquillo Beach: soak up the sun, swim in the clear turquoise water, or stroll along the soft-sand beach.
  • Dinner: Dinner with your group at a local restaurant.
  • Overnight: San Juan area. Example: Hyatt Bayamon or similar.

Fly Back HomeDay 4

DAY 4: SAN JUAN - HOME

  • Breakfast: Buffet breakfast at the hotel with your group. Note: this day may be adjusted to accommodate flight times.
  • La Placita: Board your motor coach and head to Santurce's La Placita, known for its vibrant local culture and some of Puerto Rico's best smoothies.
  • Calle Cerra Street Art: Set out on an artistic walk with your Tour Director along Calle Cerra, admiring the murals and street art while learning about the artists and the cultural heritage behind their work.
  • Pinones Lunch: Enjoy an Afro-Caribbean lunch at Pinones, sampling Puerto Rican snacks including alcapurrias, bacalaitos, and pinchos.
  • Transfer: Transfer by motor coach to SJU airport and say a fond hasta luego to your Prometour Tour Director.
  • Departure: Board your flight from San Juan and begin the journey home.
