DAY 1: FLY TO ECUADOR

Board your flight to Quito Bienvenidos a Ecuador! Meet your PromÉtour Tour Director upon arrival at the airport.

Board your bus and transfer to the hotel for check-in.

Have dinner with group.

Overnight in Quito.

DAY 2: QUITO

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Today explore Quito, the capital of Ecuador, it has one of the best-preserved and least altered historic center in Latin America. It has been declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site due to its rich history and artistic legacy.

Have lunch at a local restaurant.

This afternoon, visit the Middle of the World. Learn important facts about the Equator and confirm or dismiss related rumors that have fascinated people for centuries. Celebrate the ability to be in both hemispheres at the same time – a once in a lifetime experience!

Return to the hotel, for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: QUITO – GALAPAGOS

Have breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer to the airport and fly to the Galapagos Islands.

Arrive at Baltra’s airport and meet your local guide who will assist you with transfer to Santa Cruz Island.

Explore the highlands of Santa Cruz, characterized by its beautiful Scalesia Forest and luxuriant vegetation.

Lunch in a local restaurant.

Visit the Gemelos volcanic depressions, known in English as the Twins. Continue to the Giant tortoise’s reserve where you will have the opportunity to observe these animals in the wild.

Continue to Puerto Ayora for check-in at your hotel.

At night enjoy welcome dinner in one of the local restaurants.

DAY 4: GALAPAGOS

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

Depart from Puerto Ayora by boat to one of the nearest islands.

Today you will partake in an excursion led by a local guide who will introduce you to the amazing Galapagos ecosystem, you will learn about the Islands formation, its flora, and fauna! You will get the change to visit a few islands such as Floreana, North Seymour, Bachas or Isabela.

In the afternoon return to Puerto Ayora for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: GALAPAGOS

Today, participate in community service and environmental activity.

Upon arrival to the site, you will enjoy breakfast and a briefing on the activities scheduled for the day.

Support a local NGO working within the Galapagos community on projects to reconcile the differences between the preservation of the environment and the development needs.

Visit a private reserve where you will work on sustainable development, organic agriculture, habitat restoration (trail maintenance, beach cleaning), reforestation, and ecological education.

Lunch will be served on site.

The rest of the afternoon is at leisure, you can choose between visiting Tortuga Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches on Santa Cruz Island or to enjoy Puerto Ayora!

Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6: GALAPAGOS

Have breakfast with your group.

This morning visit the Fabricio Valverde Environmental Park, managed by the Municipality of Santa Cruz. The Center was constructed in order to collect non-organic material from the Island for recycling.  The park has also a Compost Center where all the organic wastes of the Island are processed.

In the afternoon, visit the Charles Darwin Station to see the Giant tortoises.

Enjoy a lecture led by station personnel to learn about challenges faced by the Galapagos Islands.

Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 7: GALAPAGOS – QUITO

Have breakfast at hotel with your group.

Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Quito, a snack will be provided on the plane.

Once in Quito, transfer to your hotel for check-in.

The afternoon is at leisure, to pack or to visit Quito at your own pace.

Enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight in Quito.

DAY 8: FLY BACK HOME

Breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Board your bus and transfer to the airport.

Say Hasta Luego to your Prométour Tour Director.

Board your flight from Quito and fly back home.
