DAY 4: ROME

Discover the most monumental elements of this majestic city that will bring the spirit of Ancient Rome to life. Enter the Colosseum where gladiators once battled, go to the Roman Imperial Forum, and walk through the Roman Forum ending at the Palatine Hill. Guided

Explore Trajan’s Market; built between the years 100 and 110 A.D, the ruins are believed to represent the first covered shopping mall in history. Non-guided

Make a wish as you toss a coin in the Trevi Fountain, legend says it will one day bring you back to Rome.

DAY 5: ROME

Explore the impressive Capitoline Museums. Its creation can be traced back to 1471, when Pope Sixtus IV donated a group of bronze statues of great symbolic value to the people of Rome. Non-guided

With your Tour Director, discover the Jewish Ghetto of Rome, the oldest Jewish community in Europe. See the Teatro Marcello, Fontane delle Tartarughe, la Bocca della Verità, and the Great Synagogue.

DAY 6: ROME

Board your motor coach and journey along the Appian Way, the earliest road of Ancient Rome. (half-day service, 4-hours)

Visit the Catacombs of St. Callixtus. Among the greatest and most important of Rome, they began in the middle of the second century and are part of a cemeterial complex where many martyrs, Christians and 16 popes are buried. Guided

From Gianicolo (Janiculum) Hill see the innumerable domes and bell towers that dot the skyline of Rome.

Discover the Trastevere with your Tour Director and its ancient city hidden below the modern street level; see where Julius Caesar was murdered and go across Tiber Island to Campo de’ Fiori, today, one of the Rome’s most lively piazzas.

DAY 7: ROME

Discover Galleria Borghese, one of the most famous art galleries in the world, with its ground floor containing sculptures and the upper floor holding collected paintings. Non-guided

Spend time people-watching on the Spanish Steps in Piazza di Spagna. The 135 steps and three different terraces, said to represent the Holy Trinity (the Trinità), are considered the widest and longest staircase of Europe.

Visit a local Gelateria to learn how Italians create their famous gelato. The visit ends with a tasting of course!
