Day 1: Travel To Rome, Italy

Make your way to Rome, Italy.

Day 2: Rome

Meet your Italian Prométour Tour Director upon arrival at the airport.

Have a guided tour of the Rome Coliseum, originally used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles; your ticket also includes access to the Roman Forum and Palatine.

Enjoy typical Roman cuisine at Ristorante Da Pancrazio; the restaurant was built over the Teatro di Pompeo, the first permanent theatre built in Rome, and where Julius Caesar was murdered.

Day 3: Rome

Breakfast at the hotel.

With a local guide, visit St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museum including the Raphael Rooms, Tapestry Gallery & Sistine Chapel, then have time to discover St-Peter’s Square at your own pace.

Enjoy lunch on your own.

Explore Rome’s Piazzas with your Prometour Tour Director; Piazza della Rotonda and the Pantheon, the Fountain of Four Rivers in Piazza Navona & historic Piazza del Popolo.

Make a wish as you toss a coin in the Trevi Fountain, legend says it will one day bring you back to Rome.

Day 4: Ascoli Piceno

Breakfast at the hotel.

Travel to Ascoli Piceno; in the Middle Ages Ascoli Piceno was home to more than two hundred towers, today about fifty can still be seen.

Join your Prométour Tour Director for a highlights walk of Ascoli Piceno including Piazza del Popolo (Square of the People), considered to be one of the most beautiful in Italy.

Have some free time to explore Ascoli Piceno at your own pace.

Day 5: Assisi

Breakfast at the hotel.

Board your motor coach and travel to Assisi, a beautiful medieval town built on a hill.

See the Eremo delle Carceri, the caves where medieval hermits withdrew from the world.

Enjoy lunch on your own.

Visit the St. Francis Basilica, a Roman Catholic church and one of the most important places of Christian pilgrimage in Italy.

Enjoy some leisure time in Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis.

Enjoy traditional Umbrian cuisine at Ristorante Porta Antica, located within the town walls of Assisi.

Day 6: Perugia & San Gimignano

Breakfast at the hotel.

Board your motor coach and travel to Perugia, a notable artistic center.

See the highlights of Perugia on a guided walking tour including: Piazza IV Novembre, Porta Augusta, Corso Vannucci, and the medieval Aqueduct.

Enjoy lunch on your own.

Day 7: Siena

Breakfast at the hotel.

Visit the family owned and operated Fattoria Poggio Alloro, an organic farm that raises Chianina cattle, grows numerous grains, has a vineyard, and an olive tree grove.  Partake in an Olive Grove & Vineyard tour, then sample local Tuscan dishes with a meal made from the products of the farm and of course, paired with wine.

Board your motor coach and travel to Siena. 

Have a guided tour of Siena Cathedral; built in the form of a Latin cross with its exterior and interior decorated in white and greenish-black marble stripes, black and white being the symbolic colors of Siena.

Have some leisure time to explore Siena’s historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its narrow streets & shell shaped Piazza del Campo.

Day 8: Orvieto & Rome

Breakfast at the hotel.

Board your motor coach and travel to Orvieto.

Take the Funicolare Bracci, it connects the railway station to the city center. 

Explore Orvieto at your own pace, the town is located at the top of a hill made of volcanic tuff.

Enjoy lunch on your own.

Board your motor coach and return to Rome.

Enjoy typical Italian cuisine at Ristorante l’Archeologia located in the marvelous Appia Antica park; this one-time ancient post station has an imposing ruin of a Roman tomb and a majestic wisteria, which has been blooming for over 300 years, to serve as the backdrop to your meal.

Day 9: Travel back Home
