DAY 1: HOME – CATALONIA

Board your transatlantic flight and fly through the night to Spain.

DAY 2: BARCELONA – FIGUERES

Bienvenido a España! Meet your Prométour Tour Director upon arrival at the Barcelona airport.

Board your motor coach and travel to Cadaques.

Lunch on your own.

Discover the beautiful coastal village of Cadaques, famous for its whitewashed Mediterranean houses, narrow shady streets, and sandy bay.

Then, explore Port Lligat; it is where Dalí sought the peace and quiet that truly inspired him.

Continue to Cap de Creus; the most eastern point of mainland Spain.

Continue your route to Figueres.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight accommodation in Figueres.

DAY 3: FIGUERES – BARCELONA

Breakfast at the hotel.

With your Prométour Tour Director explore the town of Figueres, the birthplace of Salvador Dali. See the Sant Ferran Castle, Sant Pere Church and, of course, the Teatre-Museu Dali.

Enter the Dali Museum-Theatre and admire the bizarre yet highly accessible work of Dali.

Lunch on your own.

Board your motor coach and travel to Girona.

Explore the medieval city of Girona at your own pace.

Return to  Barcelona.

Meet your host families and settle into their home.

Get to know each other over dinner followed by overnight accommodation.

DAY 4: BARCELONA

Breakfast with your host families and then meet your group for the day.

Travel like a local in Barcelona and use public transit.

Follow your Tour Director for a walk down La Rambla; start at Placa de Catalunya, stop at Placa Real, and end your walk at the towering Columbus Monument.

For a taste of local life head to the Boqueria; this iconic market is full of color and tastes!

Lunch on your own.

Explore El Barri Gotic, Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter; the area around the Cathedral is full of undiscovered courtyards, grand squares, schoolyards, and Art Nouveau storefronts.

Enter the Cathedral de Barcelona; built in the 16th century and known for its Gothic architecture.

Return to your host family for dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 5: EXCURSION TO MONTSERRAT & TARRAGONA

Breakfast with your host families and then meet your group for the day.

Board your motor coach and head towards Montserrat and Tarragona.

Enjoy the view as you take a cable-car to the Santa Maria Monastery.

Visit the Monastery where the monks worship Catalonia’s Patron Saint, the black Madonna ”La Moreneta”, blackened by the smoke of countless candles.

Lunch on your own.

Board your motor coach and continue on to Tarragona.

Guided walking tour of Tarragona; see the Roman Amphitheatre, the Mercat Central, and enter the Cathedral, the city’s most emblematic building. Finish with the Balco del Mediteranni, a splendid viewpoint open to the sea.

Leisure time to explore the city at your own pace.

Return to your host family for dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 6: BARCELONA

Breakfast with your host families and then meet your group for the day.

Visit Gaudi’s most famous and persistent work, the unfinished Sagrada Familia.

Discover Park Güell, an Art Nouveau extravaganza of pieces by Antoni Gaudi.

Lunch on your own.

Leisure time at Barceloneta Beach and the seafront of Barcelona.

Return to your host family for dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 7: BARCELONA

Breakfast with your host families and then meet your group for the day.

Visit Camp Nou, home of the FC Barcelona, and its Museu del Futbol.

Leisure time at the Mercat dels Encants, the flea market of Barcelona.

Lunch on your own.

Explore the Olympic Site of the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, the Ring was nerve center of the festivities.

Admire the view of the city from Montjuïc Castle.

Head to the Magic Fountains of Montjuïc to enjoy a show of light, music and dancing water.

Return to your host family for dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 8: BARCELONA – HOME

Breakfast with your host families and then say Hasta Luego to your host families.

Transfer by motor coach to the airport.

Say Hasta Luego to your Prométour Tour Director.

Board your transatlantic flight from Barcelona and fly back home.
