DAY 1: HOME – ITALY

DAY 2: CATANIA

Benvenuti in Italia! Meet your Prométour Tour Director upon arrival at the airport.

Transfer to your hotel to drop off your luggage.

Have some free time to explore Catania at your own pace.

Stop at a local cannoli shop and get to taste this Sicilian delicacy!

Dinner with your group at a local restaurant.

DAY 3: EXCURSION TO ETNA & TAORMINA

Breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Board your bus and travel to Taormina.

Make a photo stop of Mount Etna, Europe’s highest active volcano and often snow-capped.

Enjoy a guided visit of the Teatro Greco-Romano, Taormina’s most visited monument; It was partially destroyed by the conquering Arabs in the 10th century leaving it in a ruined state.

Enjoy lunch on your own.

Discover Taormina at tour own pace, see the 12th century clock tower Torre dell’Orologio, the ornate baroque fountain in Piazza del Duomo and the Borgo Medievale, the oldest quarter of town.

Board your bus and return to Catania.

Dinner with your group at a local restaurant.

DAY 4: EXCURSION TO SIRACUSA

Breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Board your bus and travel to Siracusa.

Visit of the Neapolis Archaeological Park with a local guide, it’s a good comparison of the city’s Greek & Roman Structures.

See the Siracusa Teatro Greco, Italy’s 3rd largest amphitheater; dating back to 470 BC, it was built to hold gladiator contests.

Have lunch on your own.

Enter the Orecchio di Dioniso; A cave famous for its special acoustics.

Discover the Temple of Apollo, on of the most important ancient Greek monument.

Board your bus and return to Catania.

Dinner with your group at a local restaurant.

Overnight accommodation in Catania.

DAY 5: CATANIA – AGRIGENTO

Breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Board bus and travel to Piazza Armerina.

Visit Piazza Armerina’s 15th century Cathedral.

Enter Villa Romana del Casale; built in the middle of the 4th Century AD as a hunting lodge, it is now home to some of the best-preserved examples of Roman mosaics.

Enjoy lunch on you own.

Board your bus and continue on to Agrigento.

Enjoy a guided visit of the Valley of the Temples; the Archaeological and Landscape Park is the largest archaeological site in the world with 1,300 hectares.

Dinner with your group at a local restaurant.

Overnight accommodation in Agrigento.

DAY 6: AGRIGENTO – PALERMO

Breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Board your bus and travel to Selinunte.

Discover the Selinunte Archeological Site; the isolated ruins here have stood abandoned for most of their history and of the five ancient temples only the Temple of Hera is still standing.

Continue to Palermo.

Embark on a Street Food Walking Tour; Taste Sicilian specialties, such as arancini, panelle and seasonal dessert by exploring Vucciria Market and Mercato di Capo.

Leisure time to explore the city at your own pace.

Dinner with your group at a local restaurant.

Overnight accommodation in Palermo.

DAY 7: PALERMO

Breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Board your bus and travel to Monreale.

Enter the Monreale Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most impressive architectural legacies of the Italian Middle Ages.

Continue to Cefalu.

Enjoy lunch on your own.

Enter Cefalu’s Cathedral, considered to be one of the jewels in Sicily’s Arab-Norman crown.

Return to Palermo.

Dinner with your group at a local restaurant.

Overnight accommodation in Palermo.

DAY 8: PALERMO – FLY BACK HOME

Breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Transfer to the airport.
