DAY 1: HOME – BARCELONA

Board your transatlantic flight and fly through the night to Spain

 

DAY 2: BARCELONA

Bienvenido a España! Meet your Spanish Prometour Tour Director at the arrivals section of the airport.

Transfer by motor coach to the hotel to drop off your luggage.

While in Barcelona, travel as the locals do by walking and using public transportation.

With your Tour Director, explore the intricate medieval streets of El Barri Gòtic, the original site of the Roman Village and where you can find the four columns from the Temple of Augustus which date back to the first century BC.

Head for La Rambla, the most famous street in Barcelona, for some free time

Enjoy a Spanish tapas meal in a local restaurant with your group.

DAY 3: BARCELONA

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Discover Gaudi’s most famous work: the unfinished Sagrada Família. Five generations have watched the progress of this undisputed symbol of Barcelona since construction began in 1882. Your ticket includes entrance to the museum. Audio guide

Have lunch on your own.

Follow your Tour Director on a discovery walk that highlights some of Gaudí’s stunning architecture such as Plaça Reial, Palau Güell, Casa Batlló, Passeig de Gràcia and Casa Milà-La Pedrera.

Enjoy some free time to discovery Barcelona at your own pace.

Enjoy dinner in a local restaurant with your group.

DAY 4: BARCELONA

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Spend some time at the Picasso Museum to explore the artist’s lifelong relationship with Barcelona. Audio guide

Have lunch on your own.

Spend some time in Ciutadella Park. Barcelona’s city park was initially designed around 1870 and is home to some amazing attractions such as a zoo and the Catalan Parliament.

Discover the Royal Plaza or Plaça Reial of Barcelona – don’t miss the beautiful and original lantern designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi!

Enjoy an authentic paella meal with your group at a local restaurant.

DAY 5: BARCELONA

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Visit the Cathedral de Barcelona, built in the 16th century and known for its Gothic architecture

Have lunch on your own.

Discover Park Güell, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an Art Nouveau extravaganza of pieces by Antoni Gaudi.

Learn the basics of traditional Flamenco during a dance class. (45-minutes)

Enjoy dinner in a local restaurant with your group.

DAY 6: BARCELONA

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Montjuïc Hill has been the focus of key events such as the 1929 International Exhibition and the 1992 Olympic Games; join your Prométour Tour Director for a discovery walk of some of its highlights such as the Olympic Ring, the Castle, Palau Nacional, and the Fundació Miró.

Have lunch on your own.

Enter Montjuïc Castle and step into a historic fortress perched atop Barcelona’s iconic hill, offering panoramic views of the city and sea. Wander through its ancient stone walls, explore military exhibits, and uncover the site’s role in Spain’s turbulent past.

For a taste of local life head to the Boqueria, the city’s main food market; this iconic market is full of colour and tastes and a great spot to practice your Spanish, or buy snacks.

DAY 7: BARCELONA & MONTSERRAT 

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Board your motor coach and travel to Montserrat, perhaps the most important spiritual and cultural center of Catalonia.

Enjoy the view as you take a cable-car to the monastery.

Visit the Santa Maria Monastery where the monks worship Catalonia’s Patron Saint, La Moreneta, the black Madonna , blackened by the smoke of countless candles. Enjoy a pastry tasting after your visit!

Have lunch on your own.

Board your motor coach and return to Barcelona.

Enjoy some leisure time in Barcelona.

Enjoy a farewell dinner with your group in a local restaurant

DAY 8: RETURN HOME
