September 4: Arrive in Italy
Plan to arrive in Rome and make your way to the centrally located hotel. A private transfer can be arranged (extra charge). The rest of the day is at leisure.
September 5: Rome (B/D)
Enjoy breakfast and meet your Prométour Tour Director at the hotel.
Enter the Vatican Museum to explore at your own pace; entrance includes the Raphael Rooms, Tapestry Gallery & Sistine Chapel.
Enter the Papal Basilica of St Peter, the largest church in the world, Catholic tradition holds that it is the burial site of Saint Peter.
Enjoy lunch on your own.
Entrance ticket to discover, on your own, the Rome Coliseum, originally used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles; your ticket also includes access to the Roman Forum and Palatine.
Have dinner with your group in a local restaurant.

September 6: Rome (B/D)
Breakfast at the hotel with your group. Enjoy the day at your own pace. Your Prométour Tour Director will be available for suggestions.

September 7: Assisi (B/D)
Breakfast at the hotel, then board your motor coach and travel to Assisi, a beautiful medieval town built on a hill.
Enjoy lunch on your own.
Visit the Basilica of St Mary of the Angels, built on the site of the original Porziuncle Chapel foundations. Then, continue up Mount Subasio to the town. Step inside the huge Basilica, built in the 13th century after St. Francis’ death, where the frescoes by Giotto heralded a new era in Italian art.
Enjoy some leisure time in Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis.

September 8: Venice (B/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. then board your motor coach and travel to Venice, built on more than 100 small islands in a marshy lagoon in the Adriatic Sea.
Enjoy lunch on your own.
Have time to explore Venice at your leisure; pick up souvenirs at the local markets or stroll alongside the Grand Canal, a great area to enjoy an espresso or gelato and people watch.

September 9: Venice (B/D)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Meet your local guide for a highlights walking tour; Rialto Bridge, the Grand Canal and Bridge of Sighs, to name a few.
Enjoy lunch on your own.
The Venice Ghetto was the area where the Jewish Community was obligated to live under the Venetian Republic. Established in 1519, it is actually the first ghetto. Explore the area at your own pace.

September 10: Florence (B/D)
Breakfast at the hotel, then board your motor coach and travel to Florence, birthplace of the Renaissance.
Enjoy lunch on your own.
Meet your local guide for a walking tour of Florence; Il Duomo, the “Gates of Paradise” bronze doors of The Baptistry, the open-air sculpture museum in Piazza della Signoria, and Santa Croce Basilica (The Temple of the Italian Glories) where some of the most illustrious Italians are buried; Michelangelo, Galileo, Machiavelli, and Rossini to name a few.

September 11: Florence (B/D)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Enjoy the day at your own pace. Your Prométour Tour Director will be available for suggestion.

September 12: Travel back Home (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer by motor coach from your hotel to the airport in Florence. A private transfer can also be arranged in advance, with a supplement.
