July 24: Arrive in France

Plan to arrive at Paris’ Charles-de-Gaule Airport and make your way to the centrally located hotel in Paris. A private transfer can be arranged (extra charge). The rest of the day is at leisure.

July 25: Paris (B/D)

Bienvenue en France!

Enjoy breakfast and meet your Prométour Tour Director at the hotel..

With your Tour Director, discover Ile de la Cité – You’ll see Cathedral Notre Dame de Paris, the Sainte-Chapelle, spend some time on Place Dauphine and then cross the Pont St-Louis off to Ile St-Louis.

Have dinner with your group in a local restaurant. 

Overnight accommodation in Paris.

July 26: Paris (B/D)

Breakfast at the hotel with your group. 

Discover Opera Garnier, probably the most famous Opera house in the world, and known to be the inspiration for Leroux’s “The Phantom of the Opera” Visit Parfumerie Fragonard and Boutique to learn how French perfumes are made.

Have some free time for some shopping at the Galeries Lafayette, be sure to look up, the ceiling is spectacular.

Have lunch on your own.

Explore Paris with your Prometour Tour Director; see Place de la Concorde, stroll along the Champs-Elysees, considered the most beautiful avenue in the world, and admire several French monuments including the Arc de Triomphe where in lies the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Enjoy dinner with your group at the famous Creperie Beaubourg.

Get a bird’s eye view of Paris from the observation platforms of the Eiffel Tower (3rd floor access is included but subject to availability).

July 27: Paris (B/D)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Stop at Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris to see the progress of its restoration after the recent fire.

Walk through the Quartier Latin and see the Luxembourg Gardens, the Pantheon, the Sorbonne University and Eglise St-Sulpice.

Enjoy lunch on your own.

Discover Quartier Montmartre, known as “la Butte” and make sure to enter the Sacre Coeur Basilica.

Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring at your own pace!

Have dinner with your group in a local restaurant.

July 28: Excursion to Versailles (B/D)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Board the RER and head to Versailles.

Enter the Château de Versailles, one of the most beautiful achievements of 18th-century French art; some of the rooms open to visit are the Grand Apartments, the Royal Chapel and the Hall of Mirrors.

Explore the elegantly landscaped Gardens of Château de Versailles.

Board the RER and return to Paris.

Have dinner with your group in a local restaurant.  

Overnight accommodation in Paris.

July 29: Chartres, Chenonceau & Tours (B/D)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Board your motor coach and continue to Chartres, best known for its Cathedral.

In the charming town of Chartres, enter the impressive Cathedral. The Cathedral is still a place of historical and religious significance for Christian pilgrims.

Board your motor coach and continue on to Chenonceau, best known for its castle.

Enjoy lunch on your own.

Discover Château Chenonceau at your own pace; Not only remarkable for its architecture and history but also for the fine quality of its collections and many gardens including a Maze, rebuilt exactly from Catherine de Medicis plans.

Board your motor coach and continue on to Tours, famous for its many bridges crossing the river Loire. 

Have dinner with your group in a local restaurant.

July 30: Chambord & Amboise (B/D)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Board your motor coach and continue on to Chambord.

Enter the royal Château de Chambord, one of the most recognizable châteaux in the world due to its very distinctive French Renaissance architecture.

Enjoy lunch on your own.

Board your motor coach and continue on to Amboise, a small market town.

Discover the gothic Château d’Amboise, a favorite residence of several French Kings.

Enjoy some leisure time to explore the charming town of Amboise.

Have dinner with your group in a local restaurant. 

Overnight accommodation in Tours.

July 31: Nantes & Paris (B/D)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Board your motor coach and continue on to Nantes, home to the restored, 15th-century Château des Ducs de Bretagne, where the Dukes of Brittany once lived.

With your Tour Director, discover the town of Nantes; see the Bouffay Medieval Quarter, the Graslin Square with its Theatre, the Place Royal and its fountain. You’ll also discover the Cathedral St-Pierre de Nantes; its construction lasted from 1434 until 1891!

Enjoy lunch on your own.

Enjoy some leiusre time to explore the city of Nantes at your own pace. Make sure to stop by Le Passage Pommeraye; a 19th Century shopping arcade.

Board your motor coach and return to Paris.

Have dinner with your group in a local restaurant.  

Overnight accommodation in Paris. 

April 9: Travel back Home (B)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer by motor coach from your hotel to the airport.

Say a fond Au Revoir to your French Prométour Tour Director.
