DAY 1: HOME – PARIS

Board your transatlantic flight and fly through the night to France.

DAY 2: PARIS

Bienvenue en France! Meet your Prométour Tour Director upon arrival at the airport.

Transfer to your hotel and drop off your luggage.

Explore Paris with your Prométour Tour Director; see Place de la Concorde, the Champs-Elysées, the Arc de Triomphe and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Admire the architecture of Paris from the Seine aboard a Bateau Mouche.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight accommodation in Paris.

DAY 3: PARIS 

Breakfast at the hotel.

Pass by Café de Flore and Café des Deux Magots located in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood of Paris’ left bank. Many French intellectuals such as Jean-Paul Sartre et Simone de Beauvoir spent their time in the area!

Enter the Panthéon -the resting place of many French Great Man, such as Victor Hugo and Emile Zola.

Enter Shakespeare Co. Bookstore located in the heart of Paris and browse the many books they have to offer!

Lunch on your own.

Visit La Maison de Victor Hugo, where he wrote some of his major works facing the lovely Place des Vosges.

Discover the Père Lachaise Cemetery, the final resting place for Hononé de Balzac, Marcel Proust, Oscar Wilde, Edith Piaf and more.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight accommodation in Paris.

DAY 4: EXCURSION TO VERSAILLES

Breakfast at the hotel.

Board the RER Train towards Versailles.Guided visit of the Château de Versailles – You’ll see the Grand Apartments, the Royal Chapel and the Hall of Mirrors.

Explore the elegantly landscaped Gardens of the Château.

Enjoy lunch on your own.

Board the RER and return to Paris.

Discover Quartier Montmartre, known as “La Butte” – enjoy the always lively Place du Tertre.

Dinner in a local restaurant.

DAY 5: PARIS 

Breakfast at the hotel..

Tour the House of Honoré de Balzac; let the guide tell you all about the writer of ”La Comédie Humaine”.

With your Tour Director, discover the Quartier Montparnasse known to be the heart of Intellectual and artistic life during the Roaring 20s. Many artists and writing such as Emile Zola, Baudelaire, Hemingway, and Fitzgerald frequented cafés like La Closerie des Lilas or La Rotonde.

Explore Paris at your own pace or indulge in some shopping! Why not go the Quartier Latin do shop at the Le Petit Prince Store, it is dedicated to the St-Exupéry’s masterpiece!

DAY 6: PARIS – ROUEN 

Breakfast at the hotel.

Travel to Normandy.

Home to several French novelists and authors, such as Corneille, discover the charming town of Rouen. Gustave Flaubert is also native to Rouen, he became famous after illustrating the complex relationships he had with his hometown in his debut novel “Madame Bovary”.

Explore Rouen at your own pace, make sure to take a look at the Gros Horloge.

Lunch on your own.

Travel to Le Havre.

Discover the coastal town of Le Havre through quotes of famous French authors wrote there from 1830 to 2014. The Literary Walk is divided into 20 stops indicated by benches.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 7: ETRETAT – PARIS

Breakfast at the hotel.

Continue your route to Étretat.

Admire the Étretat Chalk Cliffs – a natural beauty with dramatic views of the English Channel and home to the author of Arsène Lupin.

Explore the village of Étretat at your own pace.

Lunch on your own.

Return to Paris.

Head to Place du Trocadéro and then have a stroll through the Champs de Mars.

Get a bird’s eye view of Paris from the observation platforms of the Eiffel Tower.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight accommodation in Paris.

DAY 8: PARIS – HOME 

Breakfast at the hotel.
