Visit France:  Cultural Tour

DAY 1: HOME – PARIS 

Board your transatlantic flight and fly through the night to France.

DAY 2: PARIS

Bienvenue en France! Meet your Prométour Tour Director upon arrival.

Board your bus and drive to Paris’ Center.

Explore Paris with your Prometour Tour Director; see Place de la Concorde, the Champs-Elysées, the Arc de Triomphe and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Have some time to explore the Champs Elysées at your own pace.

Board your bus and continue to Lisses, a small town located 45 min south of Paris.

Meet your host families as they will welcome you and take you to their home to settle in.

Get to know them over dinner followed by overnight accommodation.

DAY 3: PARIS

Breakfast with your host families.

Board the train to Paris with your group.

Walk through the Quartier Latin, see the Luxembourg Gardens, the Sorbonne University, and Église St-Sulpice.

Explore Ile de la Cité, see the Sainte-Chapelle and the Conciergerie.

Lunch on your own.

Get ready for a tour and taste bud delight; visit the best of the best of Pastry boutiques. A sweet introduction to the hidden pastry and chocolate gems of the always rich and evolving Marais Neighborhood.

Explore the Marais at your own pace – don’t miss Place des Vosges, one of the most beautiful squares in Paris.

Return to your host family, have dinner followed by overnight accommodation.

DAY 4: PARIS

Breakfast with your host families.

Board the train to Paris with your group.

Discover Opera Garnier – known to be the inspiration for “The Phantom of the Opera”.

Follow a local guide on a movie-themed walking tour to discover the mythical figures of the early stage of cinema in France.

Enjoy lunch on your own.

Experience France’s Cinema in the heart of Paris at an authentic French Movie Theater. Learn about the history of the venue before immersing yourself in French culture during a private screening of one of France’s Classics!

Return to your host family, have dinner followed by overnight accommodation.

DAY 5: PARIS

Breakfast with your host families.

Board the train to Paris with your group.

Join Street Art Paris and discover Paris’ large-scale murals by French and international artists of the 13th Arrondissement.

Paris has many open-air street markets; spend some time interacting with the vendors and experiencing daily life as a local.

Enjoy lunch on your own.

Admire the architecture of Paris from the Seine aboard a Bateau Mouche.

Get a bird’s eye view of Paris from the observation platforms of the Eiffel Tower.

Return to your host family, have dinner followed by overnight accommodation.

DAY 6: PARIS – BORDEAUX 

Have breakfast and then say “Au Revoir” to your host families.

Transfer by bus to the train station.

Take the High-Speed Train to Bordeaux.

Transfer to your hotel to drop off your luggage.

Lunch on your own.

Guided walking tour of Bordeaux – its historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll on Bordeaux’s famous Mirroir d’Eau, see the Grand Theater, the Cathedral, and Tower Pey-Berland.

Explore the lively St-Pierre Quarter at your own pace.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight accommodation in Bordeaux.

DAY 7: BORDEAUX – SARLAT LA CANEDA 

Breakfast at the hotel.

Travel by bus to St-Émilion.

Guided walking tour of St-Émilion – this charming medieval village is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  See the impressive the Monolithic church and it’s Bell Tower!

Enjoy lunch on your own.

Continue your road to Le Bugue.

Visit Le Bournat – a themed village showing life as it was in rural France around the year 1900.

Have time to explore the lovely village of Sarlat-la-Canéda.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight accommodation in Sarlat la Canéda.

DAY 8: SARLAT LA CANEDA – BORDEAUX 

Breakfast at the hotel.

Board your bus and continue to Arcachon, a resort town and vacation spot for many French Citizens.

Lunch on your own and time discover the town.

This afternoon, climb to the top of Dune du Pilat, the tallest sand dune in Europe!

Spend some time relaxing and sunbathing.

Return to Bordeaux.

Take some time to explore Bordeaux at your own pace.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight accommodation in Bordeaux.

DAY 9: BORDEAUX – HOME 

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer by bus to the airport.

Say Au Revoir to your Prométour Tour Director.

Board your flight and return home.
