DAY 1: HOME – PARIS

DAY 2: PARIS

Bienvenue en France! Meet your French Prometour Tour Director at the arrivals section of the airport.

Transfer by private motor coach to the hotel to drop off your luggage, check-in will be done later.

While in Paris, travel like the locals do by walking and taking the Paris Metro!

Explore Paris with your Prometour Tour Director. See Place de la Concorde, stroll along the Champs-Elysees, and admire the surrounding French monuments

Climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe, a monument that honors those who fought and died for France and is the location of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Enjoy dinner with your group in a local restaurant.

DAY 3: PARIS & VERSAILLES

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Board a local RER train and travel to Versailles.

Discover Château de Versailles at your own pace, the extravagant Sun King Palace has some spectacular rooms such as the Grand Apartments, the Royal Chapel, and Hall of Mirrors. Audio guide

Explore the elegantly landscaped Gardens of Château de Versailles, with a stop at the Trianon Palaces.

Board a local RER train and return to Paris.

With your Tour Director discover Quartier du Marais. Once the city’s Jewish quarter, it is now often referred to as SoMa (South Marais) with its hip boutiques, arcades, the Victor Hugo House and Place des Vosges, one of the most beautiful squares in Paris.

DAY 4: PARIS

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Discover the impressive Opera Garnier. It is probably the most famous Opera house in the world, with its Chagall painted ceiling and known to be the inspiration for Leroux’s “The Phantom of the Opera”. Non-guided

Visit Parfumerie Fragonard and Boutique to learn how French perfumes are made. (guided)

Have time for shopping at the Gallery Lafayette or Le Printemps or along rue de Rivoli

DAY 5: PARIS

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Enter the iconic Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris and admire its rose window & French Gothic architecture, it’s as impressive inside as it is outside. Non-guided

Partake in a scavenger hunt on Île de la Cité, the center of medieval and Gothic Paris.

Have lunch on your own.

Explore the Quartier Latin at your own pace to discover some of its highlights like the Luxembourg Gardens, the Pantheon, the Sorbonne University, and the Petit Prince Store dedicated to St-Exupéry’s masterpiece.

Head to Rue Mouffetard in the fifth (cinquième) arrondissement, it is one of Paris’s oldest and liveliest neighborhoods with many shops, cafés and a permanent open-air market

DAY 6: PARIS

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Explore Musée d’Orsay at your own pace. Originally a railway station, it now houses some of the best and most-known 19th and 20th century works from artists like Renoir, Cezanne, Degas, Monet, and Van Gogh. Non-guided

Have lunch on your own.

Spend some time at the Eiffel Tower, it’s always an iconic photo opportunity. Photo stop only

Make your way to Champs-de Mars, it’s where Parisians and tourists gather to picnic, play music, and admire the Eiffel Tower’s twinkling evening lights.

Cruise along the River Seine on board a Bateau Mouche to admire the architecture of Paris.

DAY 7: PARIS

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Discover the Musée de l’Orangerie, featuring Claude Monet’s Les Nymphéas, the Walter-Guillaume collection and other masterpieces of modern art from Renoir to Picasso. Non-guided

Spend time in the Jardins des Tuileries, the inspiration for Manet’s ”La Musique aux Tuileries”, and still a wonderful place to watch Parisians go about their day.

Have lunch on your own.

Take a funicular to the top of Montmartre hill to discover Quartier Montmartre with your Tour Director, it was and still is the source of inspiration to many artists such as Pissarro and Delacroix.

Enter Sacré Coeur Basilica to admire its mosaic interior, take a selfie at the Wall of Love, and spend time in the always lively Place du Tertre.

DAY 8: RETURN HOME
