Málaga, Spain
8 Days/7 Nights
DAY 1: HOME – MÁLAGA
Board your flight and begin the journey to Spain.
DAY 2: MÁLAGA
Meet your guide at the airport/train station in Málaga, Spain.
Transfer by motor coach to the local school begin your Spanish Immersion program:
5 days of 3 x 50 minute daily Spanish lessons.
10 – 15 students per class.
Placement tests to be completed before arrival.
Be driven from Club Hispanico to meet your Spanish Host Family as they welcome you to their home to settle in, followed by dinner and overnight accommodation.
DAY 3: MÁLAGA
Breakfast with your host family.
Head to the local Spanish for a presentation of the program, then head to your classroom to meet your teacher.
Lunch at the Club Hispanico restaurant with your group (buffet style).
Have a walking tour of historic Malaga, and visit to the Alcazaba (Moorish fortress).
Return to your host family for dinner and overnight accommodation.
DAY 4: MÁLAGA
Breakfast with your host family.
Head to school to partake in Spanish classes
Lunch at the Club Hispanico restaurant with your group (buffet style).
Have a guided visit of the C.A.C Museum (Centro de Arte Contemporaneo), followed by a walking tour of Malaga’s SOHO neighbourhood.
Return to your host family for dinner and overnight accommodation.
DAY 5: MÁLAGA
Breakfast with your host family.
Head to school to partake in Spanish classes.
Lunch at the Club Hispanico restaurant with your group (buffet style).
Embark on a half-day excursion to the villages of Nerja and Frigiliana.
Nerja’s seafront promenade, Balcón de Europa, offers picture worthy views of the Mediterranean and surrounding mountains. Frigiliana is known for its Moorish old quarter and narrow streets decorated with ceramic mosaics.
Return to your host family for dinner and overnight accommodation.
DAY 6: MÁLAGA
Breakfast with your host family.
Head to school to partake in Spanish classes.
Lunch at the Club Hispanico restaurant with your group (buffet style).
Visit La Cueva del Tesoro (Treasure Cave), located in the town of Rincón de la Victoria. It is one of only three marine formed caves that have been discovered in the world that are now accessible above sea level. In addition to its prehistoric cave paintings, it is rumoured to contain the treasure of the five rulers of the Almoravíd Dynasty.
Return to your host family for dinner and overnight accommodation.
DAY 7: MÁLAGA
Breakfast with your host family.
Head to school to partake in Spanish classes
Lunch at the Club Hispanico restaurant with your group (buffet style).
Let the rhythm overtake you and lose yourself to the music as you partake in a Flamenco or Salsa dance class.
Return to your host family for dinner and overnight accommodation.
DAY 8: MÁLAGA – HOME
Breakfast with your host family.
Say a fond Hasta Luego to your host family.
Be collected from your host family and taken to meet your group at Club Hispanico.
Transfer by motor coach to the airport/train station.
Board your flight from Málaga and begin the journey back home.
