DAY 1: HOME – FRANKFURT

Board your transatlantic flight and fly through the night to Germany.

DAY 2: COLOGNE

Welcome to Germany! Meet your Prométour Tour Director upon arrival at the airport.

Board your bus and travel to Cologne.

Follow a local guide on a walking tour of Cologne – the cultural center of the Rhineland. See the many museum and shopping street the city has to offer. Learn how the city is famous for Eau de Cologne, a perfume created there and still produce to this day. End your journey at the city’s most beloved landmark, the Cologne Cathedral.

Visit the Kolner Dom, the spiritual and geographical heart of the city as well as the largest Gothic Cathedral in Germany.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 3: COLOGNE

Breakfast at the hotel.

Enter the German Sports & Olympic Museum – learn about the history of sports from Antiquity to present day. Find out which sports have been invented by Germans!

Go up the Koln Triangle and enjoy the 360-degree panoramic views of Cologne. You can see the famous Love Lock Bridge and the Cathedral, of course!

Lunch on your own.

Enter a Historical Mustard Mill dating from 1810 and learn how the celebrated Cologne mustard is created.

Spend some time exploring the city at your own pace!

DAY 4: COLOGNE – BLACK FOREST AREA

Breakfast at the hotel.

Board your bus and travel to Mainz.

Enter the Gutenberg Museum, one of the oldest museums of printing in the world. It is named after German inventor the printing press, Johannes Gutenberg.

Enjoy lunch on your own.

Board your bus and continue to Heidelberg.

Explore Heidelberg at your own pace, home to Germany’s oldest University and called by UNESCO, the ”City of Literature”. Wander the streets of the old town and stroll along the Old Bridge!

Overnight accommodation in the Black Forest Area.

DAY 5: BLACK FOREST AREA

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

Visit the Black Forest Open Air Museum – find out how people lived and worked in Black Forest farmhouses during the last 400 years. You’ll see the many different faces of life in the Black Forest: its architecture, traditions, customs and trades.

Follow a guide on a Water & Timber Tour – Learn about the challenges of self-sufficient survival in medieval times. Visit the Energiewerk, see modern and sustainable energy production first-hand and be surprised by black forest ingenuity.

It’s time to get to work! Learn how to make Kasespatzle, a traditional and classic comfort food from Germany. Get to taste your creation of course!

Cuckoo Clocks originated from the Black Forest in Germany, stop at a local shop and learn how these gorgeous clocks are made!

DAY 6: BLACK FOREST AREA – MUNICH

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

Stop in Bad Urach, the region has shaded beech forest, impressive ruins, stunning views and most importantly rushing waterfalls such as Uracher Waterfalls! Follow your Tour Director on a hike to get the waterfall!

Enjoy lunch on your own.

Board your bus and travel to Munich.

Explore Altes München with your Tour Director, see Marienplatz with its glockenspiel, as well as Briennerstrasse to Odeon Square.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 7: MUNICH

Breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Learn about the local school system by visit a local school, meet with the students and share your experience!

Explore the Viktualienmarkt – a daily food market in the center of Munich. Get to taste regional products (included).

Enjoy lunch on your own.

Visit Allianz Arena – The football stadium of Munich and home to the FC Bayern. The team plays an important role in popular German Culture, it has on of the largest fan membership club in the world!

Have some leisure time to explore Munich at your own pace.

Enjoy authentic German dinner-show at Munchner Horbrauhaus – a world-famous brewery house.

DAY 8: MUNICH

Breakfast at the hotel.

Visit Neuschwanstein Castle; Constructed by King Ludwig II in honor of the musician Richard Wagner, this palace has appeared in several movies, and was the inspiration for Walt Disney’s Sleeping Beauty’s Castle.

Enjoy lunch on your own.

Stop at the Glentleiten Open Air Museum to see different demonstrations of local and traditional handicrafts. Located in historical buildings, the local artists and specialist show off their skills, for example you will learn how a piece of steel is transformed into red-hot iron.

DAY 9: FLY BACK HOME

Breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Transfer to the airport.
