Visit Washington DC: Classic Tour

Day 1: Travel to Washington DC

Welcome to Washington DC! Meet your Prométour Tour Director upon arrival.

Visit some of D.C.’s iconic Memorials and Monuments; Jefferson Memorial, Martin Luther King Memorial, WW I & WWII Memorials, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Korean Memorial, Roosevelt Memorial.

Stop in front of the White House for a photo of the U.S. President’s home. 

Have dinner in a local restaurant.

Overnight accommodation in Washington DC.

Day 2: Washington DC

Breakfast at the hotel.

Visit Arlington National Cemetery; see the Kennedy grave sites, the Space Shuttle Challenger & September 11th Memorials, and then witness the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Stop at the Iwo Jima Memorial, officially dedicated to all members of the United States Marine Corps who have given their lives in the defense of the United States since 1775.

Pass by the Pentagon as you return to Washington DC. 

Have lunch on your own.

Visit the National Archives Museum – home to the original Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights.

Discover the National Air and Space Museum, it holds the largest collection of historic aircraft and spacecraft in the world.

Dinner in a local restaurant.

Enjoy a much needed break at the district wharf at the Southwest Waterfront.

Overnight accommodation in Washington DC.

Day 3: Washington DC

Breakfast at the hotel.

Head to the Capitol Building; a guided visit of this the magnificent building that houses Congress begins with a short film “Out of Many, One” and will show you the Crypt, the Rotunda, and National Statuary Hall.

Have lunch on your own.

Explore the National Museum of African American History & Culture and learn about powerful moments in African American history, culture, and community (download the NMAAHC App as a complement to your visit).

With your Group Leaders decide how to spend the rest of the day; continue your discovery of the National Mall monuments, visit a Smithsonian museum, or explore Georgetown.

Have dinner with your group in a local restaurant.

This evening, dive deep into the haunted past of one of DC’s oldest neighborhoods on a Historic Georgetown Ghost Tour.

Overnight accommodation in Washington DC.

Day 4: Travel back Home

Breakfast at the hotel.

At the  International Spy Museum use real FBI forensic equipment and tools, examine evidence, make recommendations, and use the scientific method to determine the identity of a double agent.

Say goodbye to your Prométour Tour Director and head back home!
