Day 1: Travel to France

Travel overnight to France.

Day 2: Vimy & Amiens

Bienvenue en France! Meet your French Prométour Tour Director upon arrival at the airport in Paris.

Enjoy your breakfast box to start the day. Board your motor coach and travel to Vimy, best known for the Battle of Vimy Ridge, a military engagement that was part of the Battle of Arras during the First World War.

Visit the impressive WWI Memorial at Vimy Ridge and walk through the reconstructed trenches of the battlefield.

Have lunch on your own.

Board your motor coach and continue to Amiens.

Enter the Cathedral of Amiens, one of France’s most complete 13th century Gothic churches; this UNESCO Word Heritage site is renowned for its three-tier interior elevation, sculpted decoration, stained glass, and the labyrinth which is the second largest in France.

Enjoy leisure time to explore Amiens’ Quartier St.-Leu’s narrow streets and the floating market gardens “hortillonnages” that dot the canals.

Have dinner with your group in a local restaurant.

Day 3: Fecamp, Etretat & Honfleur

Breakfast at the hotel.

Board your motor coach and travel to Fecamp, famous for the liqueur based on a recipe created in 1510 by a Benedictine monk .

Discover the history of Bénédictine (a French liqueur) with a visit of Palais Bénédictine; explore the contents of the museum, and then have a guided tour of the one & only Bénédictine distillery in the world.

Have lunch on your own.

Along the way, stop in Etretat Admire the Étretat Chalk Cliffs; with three natural arches and a pointed formation called L’Aiguille (the Needle) which rises 230 ft above the sea.

Board your motor coach and continue on to the maritime city of Honfleur.

Day 4: Arromanches, Colleville & Bayeux

Board your motor coach and travel to Arromanches, near where the Normandy landings took place on D-Day.

Enter the D-Day Landing Museum, the first museum to be built in commemoration of June 6th 1944 and the Normandy Campaign Step on the D-Day Beaches, the landing site for the invasion and liberation of Europe during World War II.

Visit the Normandy American Cemetery, a World War II cemetery and memorial in Colleville-sur-Mer that honours American troops who died in Europe during World War II.

Board your motor coach and continue on to Bayeux, a destination that perfectly combines culture, heritage, dynamism and modernity.

Day 5: Isigny Sur Mer & Mont Saint Michel

Board your motor coach and travel to Mont St-Michel, an island commune in Normandy.

Day 6: Versailles & Paris

Experience an unforgettable evening at the Lido de Paris theatre located in the heart of the Champs-Elysées. The “Paris Merveille” cabaret show* is a sequin-studded spectacle that combines sensual set designs, the music of a live orchestra, and flawless choreography with high-energy dancing led by the Lido dancers, the famous Bluebell Girls. A night at the Lido is one of Paris’ most famous cultural icons!

Day 7: Paris

On guided city bus tour discover the most famous monuments & neighborhoods of Paris: Napoleon’s Arc de Triomphe, the Panthéon, the Latin Quarter, Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Opera Quarter, and of course, the Eiffel Tower.

Have lunch on your own.

Enjoy a guided visit of the Musée Rodin see some of the sculptor’s most significant creations displayed in the museum’s extensive garden, including The Thinker & The Kiss.

Day 8: Paris

Breakfast at the hotel.

Enjoy a guided tour of Opera Garnier, probably the most famous Opera house in the world; it’s known to be the inspiration for Leroux’s “The Phantom of the Opera” and it’s hard not to be impressed by the Chagall frescoes that adorn the ceiling.

Visit Parfumerie Fragonard and Boutique to learn how French perfumes are made.

Have lunch on your own.

Stop at the Eiffel Tower, it’s always an iconic photo opportunity (photo stop only), before boarding a Bateau Mouche to admire the architecture of Paris as you cruise along the River Seine.

Spend the remainder of the afternoon exploring at your own pace!

Day 9: Paris

Breakfast at the hotel.

Have a guided tour of the Musée du Louvre to discover some of its wonderful masterpieces including Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and the striking glass pyramid in front of the museum. Have the rest of the morning to explore this amazing museum at your own pace, they say if you spent 30 seconds at each piece, it would take 100 days to see every piece of art!

Have lunch on your own.

Enjoy some leisure time to see Paris at your own pace! Why not go to the Quartier Latin to shop at the Le Petit Prince Store, dedicated to St-Exupéry’s masterpiece, or perhaps the Marais District with its shops on rue Frances Bourgeois and Place des Vosges, one of the most beautiful squares in Paris.

Meet your group and head out for a farewell dinner together.

Enjoy a funicular ride to the top of the Montmartre hill.

With your Tour Director discover Quartier Montmartre, “La Butte”, it was and still is the source of inspiration to many artists such as Pissarro and Delacroix; be sure to stop at Sacré Coeur to admire its amazing mosaic interior and spend time in the always lively Place du Tertre.
