START PLANNING

Day 1: Barcelona

Board your transatlantic flight and fly through the night to Spain.

Included: Airport Tax, International Flight, Dinner on Board.

Day 2: Barcelona

Bienvenido a España! Meet your Spanish Prometour Tour Director upon arrival at the airport.

Transfer to your hotel to Check-in and drop off your luggage.

While in Barcelona, travel as the locals do by walking or taking public transportation.

Head for La Rambla, a pedestrian promenade where you will feel the vibrant atmosphere of Barcelona.

See the cloister of the Church of Santa Monica (Center for the Arts Santa Monica).

Check out the giant 1868 clock at the Academy of Science, the Mercado de La Boqueria (the most visited market in Barcelona), and Casa Bruno Cuadros with a dragon at the front. Your walk ends at the Colombus Monument.

Dinner with your group in a local restaurant of Barcelona.

Head to the “Magic Fountains of Montjuic” to enjoy the show of light, music and dancing water.

Day 3: Barcelona – Figueres

Breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Board your motor coach and travel to Figueres, the capital of the Comarca of Alt Empordà.

Travel to Figueres, the birthplace of Dalí and home to the world famous Dalí Museum-Theatre. Explore where he was born on Monturiol Street and also visit the famous museum. Step inside the surreal world of Salvador Dalí and find a museum like none other. Inside is a world of fantasy mixed with architecture mixed with paintings and sculptures. It’s a complete surrealistic experience.

Leave Figueres and head to the beautiful coastal village of Cadaqués. Famous for its whitewashed Mediterranean houses, narrow shady streets, and sandy bay, this is one of the most picturesque villages on the Costa Brava. This is the perfect place for lunch. In the afternoon travel just a few minutes up the coast to the even smaller village of Port Lligat, the place where Dalí sought the peace and quiet that truly inspired him and where he built his house. Finally, move on to Cap de Creus, the most easterly point of mainland Spain and one of the most starkly beautiful coastal landscapes in the whole of the country.

Day 4: Figueres – Pubol – Barcelona

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Along the way, stop in Pubol with your group; along with Cadaqués and Figueres, Pubol forms the so-called “Dalinian Triangle”.

Have a guided tour of the Gala Dali Castle or Casa-Museu Castell Gala Dali, a medieval residence from the 11th century, where lived the painter’s muse, Gala, until her death and then Dali himself. Discover the collection of furnitures, drawings, clothing, and tapestries that belonged to Gala.

Board your motor coach and travel to Barcelona, defined by quirky art and architecture, imaginative food and vibrant street life.

Have a guided visit of Gaudi’s most famous and persistent work, the unfinished Sagrada Família.

Enjoy a buffet dinner with your group in a local restaurant.

Head to Montjuic, to get there, use the most unique mode of transportation available in the city, the Montjuic cable car, making three stops along the way.

Day 5: Barcelona

Follow your Tour Director for a day of Gaudí’s work (Gaudi is one of the world’s greatest architects). Enjoy sites such as Casa Batlló and Casa Milà (La Pedrera).

Discover Casa Mila- La Pedrera, one of the famous Gaudí masterpieces and the most visited buildings in Barcelona with the help of an audio-guide.

For a taste of local life head to the Boqueria, the city’s main food market; this iconic market is full of colour and tastes and a great spot to practice your Spanish or buy snacks.

Enjoy lunch on your own

Head for La Rambla, the most famous street in Barcelona, for some free time.

Discover the Royal Plaza or Plaça Reial of Barcelona, a very famous square in the Barri Gotic, next to the Ramblas; don’t miss the beautiful and original lantern designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi!

Day 7: Barcelona – Santa Coloma De Cervello – Reus – Tarragona –  Barcelona

Board your bus and head to la Colonia Güell in Santa Coloma de Cervello and then to Gaudi’s hometown, Reus, for the day.

Discover Gaudi’s best-kept secret: la Colònia Güell! It is one of the most pioneering purpose-built industrial villages of the 19th century, located in the town of Santa Coloma de Cervelló, 23 Km to the south-west of Barcelona. Gaudí developed the architectural innovations of his later works in the church crypt, which has been designated a Unesco World Heritage site; enjoy a guided tour of this exceptional site.

Spend some time in the Gaudí Centre, a museum in Reus, dedicated to the architect Antoni Gaudí i Cornet, who was born in the city in 1852. Enjoy a guided tour and learn the secrets of its architecture.

Follow your Tour Director for a discovery tour of the Catalan city Reus, the birthplace of architect Antoni Gaudi; the city of Reus has many Catalan modernist buildings. Although Antoni Gaudí was born in Reus, there are no buildings designed by him; there are, however, numerous modernist buildings from his colleagues as Lluís Domènech i Montaner, Pere Caselles i Tarrats and Pere Domènech Roura. Enjoy a walking tour of the historic center on the road to modernism: Institut Pere Pata, Casa Navàs, Casa Rull et la Casa Gasull.

Along the way, stop in Tarragona.
