DAY 1: HOME – PARIS 

Board your transatlantic flight and fly through the night to France.

DAY 2: PARIS 

Bienvenue en France! Meet your Prométour Tour Director upon arrival at the airport.

Transfer to your hotel, drop off your luggage.

Explore Paris with your Prométour Tour Director; see Place de la Concorde, formerly known as Place de la Révolution, and the Champs-Elysées.

Admire the architecture of Paris from the Seine aboard a Bateau Mouche.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight accommodation in Paris.

DAY 3: EXCURSION TO VERSAILLES

Breakfast at the hotel.

Board the RER train to Versailles.

Guided visit of the Château de Versailles – Originally built as a hunting lodge for Louis XIII, it was redesigned as the extravagant Palace it is today under the reign of the Sun King, Louis XIV.  You’ll see the Grand Apartments, the Royal Chapel and the Hall of Mirrors.

Enjoy a lunch box.

Explore the elegantly landscaped Gardens of Château de Versailles with a stop at Marie Antoinette’s Hamlet and the Trianon Palaces.

Board the RER train and return to Paris.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight accommodation in Paris.

DAY 4: PARIS 

Breakfast at the hotel.

Self-guided visit if the Musée du Louvre – This former royal residence is now home to some of the greatest European masterpieces including; Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.

Spend time in the Jardins des Tuileries.

Lunch on your own.

Visit the Conciergerie – It became the first prison of Paris, it is where Marie Antoinette was detained after the French Revolution.

Stop at Maison Berthillon to taste their famous gourmet ice cream.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 5: PARIS – TOURS 

Breakfast at the hotel.

Travel the Loire Valley.

Discover Château de Chambord – Started under by François I and finished under Louis XIV, it is one of the most recognize castle in the Loire Valley.

Lunch on your own in Blois.

Visit the Château Royal de Blois – you can find 4 distinct styles of architecture in the castle.

Have some time in Tours – it is said that Place Plumereau is the best square in France.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight accommodation in Tours.

DAY 6: TOURS

Breakfast at the hotel.

Discover Château Chenonceau – Remarkable for its architecture and history but also for the many gardens including a Maze, rebuilt exactly from Catherine de Medicis’ plans.

Lunch on your own.

Enter the Royal City of Loches and visit its Castle – the whole town is a historical site with steep streets and magnificent views.

Participate in the Daily Life in the Middle Ages workshop – Through games of comparison see how today’s lifestyle differs from life during medieval times.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight accommodation in Tours.

DAY 7: TOURS – PARIS 

Breakfast at the hotel with your group.

Explore the former residence of Leonardo Da Vinci – see some of his marvelous inventions and works at Clos Lucé.

Explore the town of Amboise at your own pace.

Lunch on your own.

Board your bus and return to Paris.

Get a bird’s eye view of Paris from the observation platforms of the Eiffel Tower.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight accommodation in Paris.

DAY 8: PARIS 

Breakfast at the hotel.

Make your way to Place Vendôme – an important square during the French Révolution.

Discover the Invalides – Once a hospital is now a complex of buildings containing the Musée de l’Armée and the Dôme des Invalides, the resting place of Napoléon.

Lunch on your own.

Enter the Panthéon -the resting place of many famous people, such as Victor Hugo, Emile Zola, Marie Curie, and Simone Veil.

Explore Place de la Bastille – it is where the ”storming of the Bastille” took place that afternoon of July 14th, 1789.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight accommodation in Paris.

DAY 9: PARIS – HOME 

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer to the airport.

Say Au Revoir to your Prométour Tour Director.

Board your flight and return home.
