Day 1: Travel To New Orleans

Make your way to New Orleans.

This afternoon, meet up with your group and Prométour Tour Director.

Join your local guide for a Sunset Food and History Tour to learn about the stories behind some of NOLA’s iconic cuisine as you make your way through the French Quarter with stops at classic culinary favorites: beef brisket with creole sauce at Tujague’s which celebrates 160 years of serving Creole cuisine, Muffuletta at the Court of Two Sisters, a Shrimp Po-Boy at NOLA Po-Boy,  jambalaya at the Cornet Restaurant which boasts being home of the largest balcony on Bourbon Street, and end the evening at Laura’s Pralines and Candies with their 18th century recipe for Creole pralines! Bring comfortable walking shoes and your appetite!

Day 2: New Orleans

Breakfast at the hotel.

Learn about the art of Creole cuisine with a cooking demonstration followed by lunch

Have a guided visit of St. Louis Cathedral, overlooking Jackson Square it is one of New Orleans’ most notable landmarks.

Try “beignets” at Cafe du Monde, a New Orleans tradition since 1862; these square French-style doughnuts, lavishly covered with powdered sugar go great with their Coffee and Chicory Au Lait brew.

Enjoy some leisure time in New Orleans to discover the city at your own pace.

Have dinner at New Orleans Creole Cookery; start your evening with a New Orleans Hurricane cocktail and then choose your meal from a selection of local favorites such as a Gumbo, Hush Puppies, Crawfish Etoufee, Char-grilled Oysters, Crab Cakes or maybe a Boiled or Fried Seafood platter? Finish the day with an evening of music at Preservation Hall; the Hall was created as a sanctuary to protect and honor New Orleans Jazz (subject to availability).
