Day 1: Travel to Costa Rica
Bienvenidos a Costa Rica! Meet your Costa Rican Prométour Tour Director upon arrival at the airport in Liberia.
Transfer to Rincón de la Vieja. The indigenous people of the Guatuso tribe have two versions of how the volcano of the region, Rincón de la Viejo – ‘the old woman’s corner”, got its name. Some say that there was an old witch living on top of the mountain who sent columns of smoke into the air when she was angry, while some say that it was a kindly old woman, and the smoke was from her cooking fire as she prepared meals for weary travelers.
Check-in at your hotel and enjoy some leisure time to settle in and refresh.

Day 2: Rincon De La Vieja

Enter the Rincon de la Vieja National Park, location of the Rincon de la Vieja volcano, its dormant sister cone Santa Maria, and the older dormant Cerro Von Seebach.
Enjoy horseback riding through the Rincon de la Vieja National Park. With over 34,000 acres, Rincón de la Vieja has two volcanoes, 32 rivers and streams, and an incredible variety of flora and fauna.

Day 3: Rincon de la Vieja

Visit Las Pumas Center where they rescue, rehabilitate, and ensure good conditions for endangered wildlife in Costa Rica, and encourage society’s respect and appreciation for wildlife. It is the largest shelter of its kind in Latin America, housing big cats and other animals who were orphaned or injured.

Embark on the Corobici River Float. In these class I waters, leisurely floating down the river makes it ideal for spotting monkeys in the tree tops, iguanas on the riverbanks, and admiring the numerous species of birds.

Day 4: Tamarindo

Board your bus and travel to the region of Tamarindo, known for its beaches
Discover the Baulas National Marine Park, it supports the largest nesting colony of leatherback sea turtles on the Pacific who come to lay their eggs between October & May.

Head out to Flamingo beach, one the most beautiful beaches in Guanacaste.

Day 5: Tamarindo
Breakfast at the hotel.
